St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks Day is one of our favorite holidays! We do lots of fun things with the girls. The night before, they set a shoe outside their door, and during the night, the Leprachauns fill it with candy. On Sunday night, Amber and Alan were at our house, and Alan gave the girls some ideas....first he told them to put ALL of their shoes out so they would all get filled. We told Savannah that the Leprachauns were smart enough to know they were all her shoes, and if she was selfish, they wouldn't leave any candy. So then Uncle Alan came up with another idea....find your biggest shoe and then you will get more candy. The girls really liked that idea, so they found their biggest boots!!
In the morning the girls found their shoes, and they had chocolate gold coins in them!!

For breakfast we had green eggs and ham (bacon) and then we read the story to the girls while they eat. We also turn the milk green. I told the girls the Leprachauns were the ones who turned everything green. The girls thought those Leprachauns were so sneaky!

Here are the girls dressed in green. (Savannah's shirt has a green stripe)

Our little homie-G baby!
For lunch I made tunafish sandwiches and turned it green. We also had rainbow jello. I got kool-aid that turned clear so it looked like water, and when Savannah drank it, her eyes got wide and she said-"that doesn't taste like water!" I told her the Leprachauns must have put some magic dust in our water. (Jason had some of this and couldn't figure out what I had done to it! he he he!) Savannah was so thrilled. She said she couldn't wait to find out what the Leprachauns would do to our dinner!
I made homemade pizza for dinner and colored the crust green-of course!!
We also went to a green eggs and ham party at the library. They had egg and spoon races, egg toss into baskets and pin the egg on the plate (next to the ham). My girls raced around playing for such a long time. They loved it! They also got to make a Horton sack puppet. We had such a fun day!!
