Our 24th of July was a fun crazy day. We got back from our vacation the day before, and for some reason, I thought it would be great fun to run a race the next day! I was tired and groggy and wondering what frame of mind I had been in when I signed up for the race, but it ended up being a perfect race day, and I was glad I did it. Hey, I even got a medal!!! (don’t get too excited though, it was just a participation medal.)
We headed to Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson’s, and had a yummy breakfast and played with everyone. Our little family then headed home for some much needed nap time!
We returned that evening to a BBQ hosted at my parents’ neighbor Johnnie’s house, where we enjoyed yummy food followed by 2 hours and $2000 worth of illegal fireworks!! It was crazy, and many family members were quite frightened. Jason, being the pyro he is, loved every minute of it, and true to form, Michaela takes after her daddy! She loved it too! Savannah and Lily spent some time inside with grandma, and little Jared snuggled up to mommy for the night. All in all, it was a good day, and we had fun together as a family!
