The day that Savannah had been waiting for had FINALLY arrived—the day she got her braces OFF!!! I took one last picture before we went in of her cute little metal mouth!

And they are all OFF!!! Look at that gorgeous SMILE!!
When she first was taken back and they took the wires out, her bottom teeth shifted just a tiny bit and she was told she might have to leave them on for a while. She was NOT happy about that! When the orthodontist came over though, he told her that it should be fine if they just put the wire back in for a few minutes and it was, thank goodness! Savannah is so excited to have them off! She said her teeth felt really weird at first, but she is getting used to them now.
When she got home from school, we had a fun little sack of treats waiting for her full of stuff that was “off limits” or at least discouraged while she had braces on!
She will have to have another set of braces later on once all of her adult teeth are in, but for now she is loving having them off, and we are loving that pearly white smile!!!
