I have been a major blog slacker lately! I'm going to play catch up on everything that's been going on at the Medico house. The girls got to wear their cute Easter dresses, but Lily wanted nothing to do with having her picture taken, and Michaela wouldn't look at me and smile, so this is the best I got! I think they still look darling!
We had the opportunity during April to attend many cousins baptisms. We were thrilled that Jason's brothers' kids; Mitchell, Nathan and Annabelle; took the discussions and all decided to be baptized. It was awesome to be there and see how happy they all were! Hunter, who is Janice's youngest turned 8 and was also baptized a couple weeks ago. I didn't get any pictures of the kids, but they all looked fabulous! Savannah and Michaela really look up to all of their cousins, and can't wait until they turn 8 and it's their turn! I, on the other hand, can wait! I don't want them growing up too soon!!
Our friends and neighbors, the Burninghams invited us to go to a drive-in movie with them. We haven't ever taken our kids to the drive in and were worried about how they would do. Plus, it was kind of chilly, but we bundled up, had PLENTY of treats and the girls all did fabulous! It was a really fun night, and we hope to go again soon!
Lily has been introduced to every child's favorite thing~playing in grandma's sink! My mom loves to torture herself and lets the little kids drag a chair over to the sink and play for hours. Lily loves to fill up the ice cream scoop and fling it over her shoulder!! There is always quite a mess after, but my mom insists that water doesn't hurt anything and can be cleaned up easily. My kids of course know, that they are only allowed to do this at grandma's house!!
Savannah and Michaela had their dance competition. They were so cute!! Their costumes are darling and really fit their personalities! This was Michaela's first competition, and she kept telling me that she was gonna get a trophy. They did a fantastic job and she did get her little trophy that she displays with pride in her room!!
Our other fabulous neighbors, the Whitney's, planned an Adult Prom for some couples in our ward. It was so fun to get dressed up and dance with my hubby! Brenda even had some games planned. Jason won the trivia game and got this fabulous prize!!
I won musical chairs, but only because no one dared to push off the pregnant lady!! Brenda even made a cute backdrop for our pictures! It was a fun night and we can't wait until next year's!!
I turned 27 this month and am now so much older and wiser! I had a great day. My girls and Jason spoiled me and gave me lots of hugs and kisses. Jason even got me a cake and wrote on it himself!
He also gave me very special candles because he couldn't find 27 individual ones!! Here's what I got:
25 + 2 does in deed = 27!
Mother's Day was really great this year too. Savannah made me an adorable little book from school and they both colored pictures for me throughout the day. Michaela kept wishing me a "happy valentine's day" or "happy birthday". All these holidays really run together for her!
We have been loving the nice weather and have been outside a lot. Savannah learned to ride her bike with "no training wheels, no training wheels, no training wheels". That's the song the girls sing whenever they want to go out and ride bikes. Michaela can also ride her scooter with no handlebars!
Lily got a little bike for Christmas that she loves riding around on outside. When we go out, I have to have something for her to do, or she runs right for the street. Unfortunately, she thinks it's a funny game.
One day her distraction was the flower beds. She loved the flowers, and after I showed her how to just smell them, she stopped destroying them!!
We have a tree in our backyard that is perfect for climbing. Both girls love to climb, but one day Michaela got stuck. It was pretty funny seeing her up there with her little bum stuck and her yelling for help. We had to capture the priceless moment!
We have been tackling the yard work again, and Lily loves to help. She helped daddy mow quite a bit of the lawn!
Well, that's a little of what we have been up to. We have had a lot of fun, and are excited for the next few weeks. Savannah's first year in school is coming to an end. She is excited for the field trips, and programs that are coming up. Both girls are getting ready for their dance recital, and are both very excited for summer and our vacation to Disneyland!! Lily is excited for anything and everything as she continues to be our happy girl! Jason is excited for some time off, and mommy is excited for all the exciting time together with the girls this summer!!!

WOW, blog overload! First, love the drive-in! How fun that you took the whole family, what a fun night! Second, I love the Prom idea!! We are the activities committee chairs in our ward, maybe we will have to steal that! What a fun idea! Last, your girls are so adorable! Can't wait to see your cute boy!
I enjoyed reading about your recent family fun. I drove by the drive-in last night and just thought about going now that it's warmer-sounds like you had fun there. The girls looked cute for dance and Lily looks really cute on her bike.
