4th of July

We had a great 4th of July! Savannah and Michaela ran a kids race at Murray Park in the morning. They were so excited for this race! They had been practicing with Aunt Megan at the track and park to get ready to run on race day!! They were really good and ran the whole thing! All the kids got medals and a free frosty coupon. Michaela told me she wanted to run it again, so she could get another free frosty! I even let them get their own special Gatorade at the store a few days before the race. It was really fun to see how excited they were about everything!!

After the race, we went downtown and met all of my family there for family pictures. They all turned out so cute, and we had a really fun time. These are a few of the poses, just taken by me, they aren't the "professional" ones!

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Fergy's and had homemade "Training Table Burgers" and let the little kids swim. My mom had these three pools, and the girls loved just going from one pool to the next. They were entertained for hours, while the adults just visited (or slept).

Then, since it was the 4th, can you have too many BBQ's? We thought not, so we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Medico's for another BBQ!! The girls had fun hanging out with their cousins.
Then we went to Murray Park to watch the fireworks. I had bought glow sticks and they were a big hit! Lily was more interested in them than the fireworks!

It was a long, fun-filled day, and we had a blast being with our families and celebrating the freedom of our country!! Happy 4th of July!!
