Happy Birthday Jason!

Jason celebrated his 30th birthday last Sunday!!!! I have always thought that I would do some wild and crazy thing for him for his 30th, but as it happened, I was slightly distracted by the new man in my life this year, so sorry babe, ya got nothin! Well, I guess not NOTHING. He did get some fabulous presents--including a son! Here he is with all his loot.

The cutest loot!

I made Jason's cake. It's never a surprise to him. I make him the same cake every year because it is his favorite. Oreo cake! I do get to decorate it though! This year, there were WAY too many candles though, so they filled up the whole cake, and no room to decorate. :( So I added some toys around it!! The toys were a hit!

It was a great day and we enjoyed his birthday falling on a Sunday this year so we could have him home all day! We love you Jason!

You might think that would be the end of our fun-filled day. Well then, you haven't met Michaela. Michaela our 4-year-old destructacon. We had the girls settled in their beds and were enjoying the evening when we hear a blood-curdling scream from the girls' room. Michaela comes running out and blood is gushing down her head, in her eyes, on the floor. She decided that "5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" was not just a favorite bedtime story to read, but to reenact. She jumped, she fell, the bookcase broke her fall. So, as a wonderful end to his day, Jason got to haul her off to the insta-care and get her stitched up. She was scared at first, but Daddy promised to hold her hand, and when she saw grandma (who was there with her own sick child) all fear left her as she cuddled up on her lap and told her how she was naughty and jumped on the bed. Jason said she didn't cry once after that and became her usual self, asking the doctor 101 questions. She is very proud to now show off her new battle wound. I think she looks like the laces of a football up her forehead. We love you Michaela, even if you drive us crazy!!
