Savannah was sad for her 1st grade year to end, but is looking forward to being a 2nd grader now! The last week of school, there was an awards assembly, and Savannah got 2 awards. One for 100% attendance and one for excelling in reading and math! We are so proud of her and how hard she has worked and what a good student she has been. It was kind of a rough beginning of the year, but she sure turned it around and made it a great year!

For the last day of school, we went and got Chick-fil-a for lunch, and then headed downtown. We decided for a little last day of school celebration, we would do something that we could use all summer long. So we got a membership to Discovery Gateway. We went and spent hours having a great time. The girls think this is going to be great for this summer!

We also let the girls sleep out in their sleeping bags in the family room. They loved it. Even Lily got to sleep out. That was always one of my favorite things to do in the summer, and it was fun to see my kids so excited.
I am so glad to have Savannah home all day, and am so excited for all the fun things I have planned for this summer to do with my family!!
