Dance Recital 2009

Last weekend Savannah and Michaela had their Spring Dance Recital. I love watching my girls get all dolled up and perform! They love every minute of it too! We had lots of family come to support and watch them. Grandma Fergy, Aunt Megan, Aunt Amber, Emma and Zach, Grandma Medico and Aunt Janice. Janice was even great enough to be my designated video camera guru because Jason's work ended up taking him a little longer to get there. Grandma Fergy gave the girls each a rose, and they were so excited. Unfortunately, throughout the night, there was a lot of shuffling around of little people, and the roses kind of took a hit. Good thing we got a cute picture when they were given!

They each had two dances, a ballet and tap. Michaela's dances were "Broomstick Buckaroo" and "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". I love her little cowgirl costume, and it really fits her personality!

Savannah's two dances were "I've Got No Strings" and "Sugar Shack". Her "Sugar Shack" dance was such a cute little sassy dance. I love it!

Savannah also got to be in the finale. She was so excited to feel like one of the "big girls". They had a cute little part and it was fun to see her as always!
And of course, it was rather long for a year and a half old babe, so Lily needed something to entertain her the last few minutes. (And she wanted to be pretty like the other girls...)

I love my girls in dance. This was Michaela's first year, and she was so good! Even when she was a punk at home, she was always good for Miss Marlene. Savannah gets better and better every year, and I love watching her learn new things. We look forward to dance again next year!!
