Mickey Mouse...

...followed us home!!

Last week, I was sitting on my couch and saw a little mouse run across my kitchen floor. I was on the phone with my mom, and started completely freaking out!! Mice are NOT adorable, no matter how many Disney movies portray them that way. My mom had to calm me down enough, and I made a barricade in front of the kitchen door, so the mouse wouldn't run into the rest of the house. Then she had to convince me to go open my back door, so the mouse could run out. I was totally the scarred little house wife who stood on a chair with a broom. Jason made fun of me and my barricade when he got home, and the girls were fascinated and wanted to see the mouse. Jason finally set some traps and later that night, the mice found it's final resting place. The girls were really disappointed that it was after they were in bed, and they didn't get to see it. (What is WRONG with them!!! GROSS!) Well, I lived happily mouse free for one weekend, but unfortunately, I just opened my back door, and saw another mouse run across the garage floor. EWWWWW!! My back door is safely bolted (because you never know when a mouse will develop super mouse powers) until Jason gets home to take care of the problem. Funny thing is, I know I bought some mouse poison once, but now I can't seem to find it. Jason said it was mean of me to name the mice Mickey and Minnie, but I really think that they (or their long lost cousins) were charmed by my girls and followed us home! Let's just be clear, that I will NOT be making miniature mouse clothing, enlisting sewing help from them, or encouraging my children to run up and give them a hug anytime soon!
