Cupcake party!

For Christmas, we gave the girls cupcake making kits, cake mixes and aprons, and because of all the wild going on, never got a chance to make some cupcakes before Savannah went back to school. So on a day off in January, we decided it needed to be a cupcake making day! I remember how much I loved to cook with my mom as a kid. All 7 of us would pile up on the counter and take turns dumping ingredients and mixing the batter. My mom is seriously the most patient mom in the world! Although I really restrained myself from saying too much, this whole experience drove me CRAZY!!! All three girls wanted to be ding the helping part at the same time, didn't want to share and we had a couple meltdowns. This isn't the end of cooking with mom, I just need a break from it!! Okay, that is my "I'm a terrible mom" confession of the day. So without further adu (is that even how that word is spelled?!?) the pictures of our cupcake party!

Aren't they so stinkin' darling in their aprons! *Squeal!!*

We finally got to the decorating part of the party. This is the part I can handle a little bit better. They all get their own bowl of frosting and sprinkles, and their own plate. They ate more than they saved, but that's ok by me! Being mini in size, I found myself gobbling up quite a few too! It doesn't seem like as many when they are only one bite to begin with!!

The best part about a cupcake-making party with my girls? That they are so willing to share their creations!
Thanks girls for a great day and a fun party! We'll do it again....someday!

My dear Charisse, there is no way that you could be a "terrible mom." This kind of thing takes a lot of patience and you were an awesome mom to do it with your kids!

That is so cool! Did you make those cupcake kits or buy them? My kids would probably love getting their own little kitchen kits.
