Family Luau

My mom is pretty much the party queen!!  She loves coming up with lots of different parties to get our family together.  She decided over the summer to have a Luau, but with the craziness that is summer, she waited until September to have it.

Between mom and Michelle, we had awesome decorations!  We also had all kinds of yummy Hawaiian-themed food and drink!

My mom made all of the kids “grass” skirts out of newspaper!  They all loved putting them on, even if they didn’t end up lasting very long.  We got some great pictures!!

I don’t always get pictures of all of the adults at parties, but I did get all of us this time!  I think we would all look so great on an actual Hawaiian vacation together!

My girls had recently learned a Hawaiian dance, and Savannah had fun teaching it to some of the other cousins.

Michelle brought her Ukulele's.  Michaela and Jason had fun learning a few things from her.

My older two and Emma danced their cute dance.

Then they invited all of the other cousins up to preform it with them.  It was pretty hilarious watching them!!  They all really had a fun time dancing!

My mom gave all of the kids a hula hoop, which they LOVED!!  They had fun hula-ing and having contests with some of the adults!

My mom had also made yumm-o Tutti Frutti Homemade Ice Cream! 

Lastly, she had some coconuts, and trusty Dave broke them open while all the little kids watched.

Our Luau was SO. MUCH. FUN!  We definitely need to do it again!!  Thanks mom for all of your awesome parties!
