Michaela had a project for school where she had to explore something outside and then talk about what she learned. Since we hadn’t had a chance to go up the canyon, we planned a day that we could get up there. Unfortunately, Jase had a bunch of homework, so I ended up just taking the kids. We just drove until we saw a trail and then stopped. It was a cruddy day down in the valley, so we went prepared to be super bundled up, but up in the mountains, the weather was perfect! It was a gorgeous day and we had a wonderful time looking at all the colors!
It was so fun to be at the back of the pack and watch my kiddos explore the trail!
The trail was paved for quite a while, but then it went off into a pretty steep hike. The sign said it went up to a lake, and the kids wanted to go so bad, but we weren’t prepared for a long hike, so I had to tell them we would try it another time.
It was such a pretty day!
I had to take one picture of all of us to prove I was actually there! I love “adventuring” with my kiddos!!
I was able to get two Jazz tickets for one of their pre-season games. We decided that Jason would take Jared on a little daddy-son date!
He was a little young to understand too much of what was going on, but he loved getting snacks with daddy, cheering, and especially dancing when any music would come on!
He also got to see grandpa!
It was a fun little outing for both of them!
During Red Ribbon Week at school, one of the days was “crazy hair day”. The girls had a lot of fun with their crazy hair and even earned some prizes in class for having it!
Michaela’s class got to go on a field trip to a Symphony performance, and her teacher asked me to go too. It was a really fun performance, and they made it interesting and educational for the kids. We had a fun time together.
The girls and I have had this project on our “to-do” list forever! We finally decided one weekend that it was just going to get DONE! I got some old school desks, the girls decided their colors and pattern, and we made them into ADORABLE desks for their rooms!! They are already LOVING them! I just need to find them some perfect chairs.
That’s a little of the fun we have been up to!!
