We had planned on Christmas Eve being just our little family, but at the last minute, Dennis and Julie decided not to travel because of the storm, so we invited them to come and eat with us. I had made enough food for an army plus some!
It was fun to have some other family around! Especially when it came time for our “Nativity”. Savannah was Mary, and Jared was Joseph, but I think he actually wanted to be Baby Jesus. He kept kicking the baby out of the cradle so he could climb in!
Lily, Afton and Michaela were all angels! I think Lily was also the star. We kind of let them do whatever they want so no one gets upset! Ha ha!
Then we gathered around the piano, for Christmas carols. Savannah and Michaela had both been working on some to play for us. Then I played while we all sang along. Jason and I also played a little guitar duet to “Silent Night”.
The Ferguson’s decided it was time to head home and get Afton in bed. We enjoyed our yummy Banana Crème Pie dessert!
Then we had to leave Santa the key,
And get him his cookies and milk before it was off to bed!!
We love celebrating Christmas, and our Christmas Eve traditions are some of my favorite!!
