The girls came home with a note about celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a read-a-thon, and I then jumped all over the chance to celebrate! Of course, I didn’t realize that his actual birthday was on Saturday not Friday, but oh well, totally doesn’t matter and we still had a fabulous time!
We started out with Dr. Seuss breakfast: Who Hash{browns}, Green Eggs & Ham, and Max’s Milk, which was blue!
Savannah read “Green Eggs and Ham” while we ate.
I made the girls a fun Dr. Seuss lunch that day and sent a note telling what everything was. We had Green Egg{salad} & ham; 1 fish, 2 fish, goldfish; 10 apples up on top; minks like to drink pink ink & blue goo and Skipper Zipp’s chips!
Jared and Lily had the same fun lunch!!
For dinner we had, you guessed it, Dr. Seuss Dinner!! Roast Beast sandwiches and assorted greens & other things! We also mixed up some “Seuss-y” kool-aid mixing two different kinds together!
Daddy had a boy’s night that night, but we did end up watching Afton for a while that night. We made a fun Dr. Seuss craft with her!
We had Dr. Seuss dessert: Green Eggs & Ham (how many different ways can you eat that in one day!!) and Truffula trees (cotton candy).
Then we watched a great Dr. Seuss movie together!
During the day, we also read every single Dr. Seuss book we own!! I love these books and love sharing the love of them with my kids in a fun way!
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!
