Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at home with our family. We had a wonderful dinner. The girls loved eating on mom's special china.
We gathered around the piano and sang Christmas songs, a tradition from my own family growing up. This was the first year that the girls actually knew quite a few songs and could sing with me and dad. Michaela of course danced the whole time, and Lily snuck in and helped mom out on the piano!

The last thing we do, which is my favorite tradition of all, is we act out the nativity, while dad reads it. This year, Lily was Mary. She loved the baby, but didn't want it in it's "swaddling clothes". Michaela was Joseph, and Savannah was the Angel. Because of short attention spans, we cut out the parts that our kids weren't acting out. It was so cute though! I love my little girls!

After we finished all our traditions, the girls got the cookies and milk ready for Santa.
Then, because we don't have a chimney, we had to hang our key on the front door so Santa could come in.

We love Christmas at our house!!
