I really wanted to have a cute little advent calendar. I usually buy my kids the $1 chocolate ones from the store. Then I saw this and had to make my own! I think it turned out pretty cute. 
I'm working on a way to get it to hang for next year, but I really like that I can re-use it every year, that I can put as many treats as I have kids, and that as they get older I can put a little service in to do every day!!
The best part is that the kids approve!

It would be nice if those covers were made out of magnets so you could hang it.

The covers ARE magnetic. The problem I had hanging it was that riboon wouldn't stick to the non-stick muffin tin. I think I need to drill some holes and hang ribbon for next year.
Love the idea.......how did you make the magnets???? Just scrapbook paper on the magnetic stips???
Yup! There are four little magnets on the corners of the scrapbook paper squares.
