Christmas 2009

We had such a great Christmas together this year. We really enjoy the traditions we get to do each year with our little family.

We had a yummy Christmas Eve meal together.

We put on our Christmas jammies.

We acted out the nativity. Jared was pretty tuckered out from already having to play baby Jesus two other times this year. We let him catch a break and sleep through ours. Michaela played Mary, and Lily was so excited to play Joseph!

Savannah played an angel and did a great job of acting it out!

We sang Christmas carols together. This year, our girls actually knew quite a few songs, so we sang for nearly an hour! Other years, it's been about 5-10 minutes.

We gave some kisses under the mistle-"toad".

We put our magic key on the door for Santa.

We set out the cookies...

...and milk. This year Savannah lost a tooth on Christmas Eve, and she insisted we put out enough cookies and milk so that she could share with Santa!

We hung our stockings by the fireplace, and then snuggled into bed.

The girls were so excited on Christmas morning. We had a great time opening presents together.

Jared got in on the action too. Look at him with his brand new tools! He's gonna be such a big helper for daddy.

STUDLY!!

The girls all got new dress-ups and spent most of the day playing in them.

Jared spent most of the day asleep!

We made a breakfast casserole and cooked it after we were done with presents. I think after 3 years of doing this, we finally found a winner recipie! It was way yum-o!!

Later, we had a fun visit from Grandma and Grandpa Fergy, Uncle Dave and Aunt Megan. We were able to spend Christmas Day dinner with the Medico family. It was a great day, and we had a blast relaxing the rest of the weekend together! We hope all our friends and family had a wonderful Merry Christmas too!
