Spook-tacular Halloween!

Since it is now well into November, perhaps it’s about time I blog about Halloween!

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year!  We did have issues with deciding what we all wanted to be however.

Savannah had her heart set on Belle.  Belle costume made last spring—check!

Michaela wanted to be Luke Skywalker, and then Princess Leia.  I threw something together for Princess Leia, and at the last minute she decided to be Cinderella.  Cinderella also made last spring—check!

I had planned on making Lily a princess dress-up, but hadn’t gotten around to it, and she decided she wanted to be Dorothy (because she heard her cousin was going to be Dorothy).  She kept insisting that she was being Dorothy, and when I said, no that’s what your cousin is going to be, she said “Fine, I’ll be the dead witch!”  After that was declared, there was no going back.  She wanted to be the dead witch, so her daddy made her a house that could fall onto her!  So sweet!!

Jared is my one child that I still get to decide what he is, so he, Jason and I went as a trio.  Gru, Vector & the Minion! (Nobody knew who I was, but I didn’t really care…)

We had a couple of fun parties.  We had the Ferguson Halloween party.  We always like to see what everyone else dressed up as!

Lily loved posing by her “sister” witch

And we even had a fun Trunk-or-Treat

The kids loved their first dose of candy and especially their giant coloring books from grandma!

We had a ward Trunk-or-Treat and Carnival that was AWESOME!  But, since I was helping, I completely forgot my camera and didn’t get any pictures.  Sad.  There was a photo booth there, and I am excited to get those pictures soon!

On Halloween, we had yummy homemade Jack-o-lantern pizza.

Then Jason and the kids bundled up and trick-or-treated the night away!!  Jared only made it about half way before he gave up on trick-or-treating, and instead enjoyed all of the candy he had already gathered!

Our pumpkins looked fun and spooky as they greeted everyone!

We also made a quick stop into the Medico Halloween Party so see costumes, visit and grab a few more yummy things to eat!

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the crazy that surrounds Holidays.  This Halloween felt like a 3-day marathon!  But I love spending time with our family and making fun memories with them!  Lily now asks me daily when our next Halloween is, and I am happy to say, next year!

Happy Halloween!!

I totally agree that Halloween this year felt like a 3-day marathon...if not a four day one. I love your kids costumes. Especially the DEAD WITCH! Haha! It totally cracks me up! Your kids are great!
