Grandma's Cookie Party

My mom has had a tradition the past few years of having a cookie party, where we all come and decorate sugar cookies. My girls really look forward to it every year. Savannah is getting old enough to where her cookie-decorating skills are starting to bud. She takes a lot of effort and time getting them all looking great! Michaela definitely had cookie-decorating skills, but hers are more of a "how-many-things-can-I-put-on-my-cookie" kind of skill! (see pics for example!) This was Lily's first year where she could actually decorate her own cookie. She wasn't sure what to do at first, but after a little guidance from Aunt Megan, she went crazy with her mad skills! She even tried to "drink" the frosting! We have learned over the years, that the kids each need their own bowl of frosting and their own knife, and then the rest of us can make some lovely "edible" cookies to take home!!
