Conference Weekend

Our family was excited for Conference this year.  Unfortunately, our we spent most of the weekend dealing with a little disaster.  Lily left the water outside just barely on, and it flooded Savannah’s room, and some of our family room.  It was kind of a pain and we ended up dealing with messes like this for about a week and a half.

Jason had to rip up all the carpet, throw out the pad and then let it all dry.  What a pain!  We decided though, of all the things to go wrong in our house, at least this one we had good family connections to!  Jason’s dad came and helped us get our house back to normal.  We got a tiny bit of mold, but I cleaned that right up.  But while cleaning, I spilled my bucket of water.  No big deal right?  Wrong!  It was BLEACH water.  So now we saved ourselves from having to replace our carpet just so I can now wish we could replace our carpet because there is a giant stain in the middle of the floor!  Bummer!

We did enjoy listening to conference though.  Because Savannah is finally 8, I was able to get tickets to take her down to the conference center for the Sunday Afternoon session.  My niece, Jordan also came with us.  It was really fun to be there with my little girl!  I can’t believe how grown up she is getting!!

That is so crappy about the water, what a mess!! On a more positive note, I LOVE the walls in her bedroom! The pink stripes are so so cute!

I love your dress! When did you get it?

Ash, I got the dress about a month ago at the Downeast Clearance Center. It had long hideous sleeves, so I chopped them and made them cute!! It's my favorite dress now!!

Yuck! I'm so sorry about the water! I just realized that I accidently skipped this post before. I hate dealing with water messes! When we were upstairs in the house in Millcreek the basement got flooded and it was aweful! Such a stinking pain! That's so fun that you could take Savannah to the Conference Center. Hopefully that will make a lasting impression!
