November so far…

It’s been nice to kind of slow things down this week.  I love the month of November and the focus on being grateful.   We pulled out our “Thankful turkey” to sit at our table all month.  We each write what we are thankful for each night and then we will read them on Thanksgiving Day. 

Jared has started walking this past month, and he is really starting to get good at it!  I love little walkers!  He is very “Frankenstein-ish” and I LOVE it! 

He is such a fun little guy.  His sister’s absolutely ADORE playing with him, even if he is not always quite as thrilled.

But usually, he loves it just as much!

The girls got to have a sleepover with their cousin Torie.  Some of the girls had misplaced their sleeping bags, and I found one my mother-in-law had given me years ago.  I had never taken it out of the bag, and we had a good laugh after seeing it.  Savannah modeled it for us!

Then all the girls had to “dress-up” in their sleeping bags.

It was fun to have her over even if they stayed up late and woke up early!

We let the kids play in the leaves.  Jared didn’t really like it, but the girls always have fun.

I also finally got around to painting my kitchen!!!  I have had the color picked out for a good 5 months now, and the swatches have been stuck up on the wall that entire time.  I think the thing that was holding me up was all the taping around everything.  I finally decided I wasn’t going to let that stop me, so I nixed the tape altogether!!  That’s right!  I painted my entire kitchen TAPE-FREE!  I am REALLY perfectionist when it comes to painting, so I was pretty worried how it was going to turn out, but I learned it is all in the brush you use and your patience!  I am sold!  I will NEVER tape again! (well except for if I am doing “decorative” stuff like the stripes in Savannah’s room)  I am happy with how it turned out and love how much brighter it makes my kitchen.  I am hoping to tackle the living room area next.

It seems crazy that we are so far into November already when I feel like the month just started!  We have been up to a few other things that I will work on posting soon!
