Swimming at the Madsen’s

We are still working on recovering from our vacation, as well as plan for the next event, which is Girls Camp for Charisse.  We are still managing to squeeze in some fun though!  We got invited up to the Madsen’s house for a fun swim party.  If you know us, we will never turn down an invitation for FUN!!  Amber had a big pool, a slip n slide and a cute little kid pool with a slide and the kids had fun running all around and getting wet at every one!

We played with toys,

and hung out with grandma.

No visit to Amber’s would be complete without Lily spending some time with her good friends, the chickens!

We were treated to some yumm-o pizza for lunch!

Later after everyone else had left, Amber decided to pull out some water balloons for us to fill.  Our kids were REALLY anxious for us to get them done.  We let Jared be the first to throw one.  He wasn’t really sure what to do.

Once he finally threw it the water balloon fight was in full swing!!

Then we may have been in the sun a little long because the kids started really getting wacko!

We had some ice cream sandwiches, picked raspberries and even chased and caught a dragonfly before we finally called it a day.

Thanks Madsen’s for a great party!! 

(Side note: I was able to spend a week and a half in California, in the sun practically the entire time and not get a sunburn.  One day in Amber’s backyard, and I was a walking lobster for a week!!)
