**So I broke up our vacation into two posts because I knew it was going to be picture overload. Unfortunately, I loved too many pictures, so there are still TONS in each post!**
So after 5 fun filled day with the Moreno’s, we had some added visitors from home: mom, dad and Dave
We drove to Anaheim and checked into our hotel where we enjoyed some more time in the pool!
This pool was pretty deep at one end, and my newly graduated from swim class girls did really good! I only took pictures of them the first day when they were swimming with their noodles, but soon after, they put them to the side and swam like crazy all over the pool. In fact, one night we went there and there was a little boy who was really impressed that they could swim, so Michaela started giving him “swim lessons”!
The girls loved being there with Uncle Davey who would happily throw them into the water and tease them mercilessly.
Lily and I practiced some of her swim lessons too. She was really good at floating.
Jared is so funny. He acts terrified of the water for the first 30 min he is at a pool, and then starts going crazy. I made him jump in, and he soon learned to love it!!
The next morning we were up BRIGHT and EARLY to be in our way to DISNEYLAND!
Our kids loved the bus ride over.
And we stood in the first of many, many lines!
Traditional “Mickey” picture. You can’t see it really great, but we made our shirts with a bleaching technique. Each one has a Mickey Mouse silhouette on it.
Ok, here is where it really starts to picture overload. I don’t think I need to comment a ton. I will just let the pictures show our adventures!!
Lily fell asleep on Jason’s shoulders quite a few times during our trip, and Jared enjoyed many naps in his stroller.
We loved the splash park in the Bug’s Life area. (Some of us more than others—see Michaela’s pic) They seriously need these all over the two parks!
We enjoyed some cold sweet treats every day!
We got to see the firework show start from our teacup! Then we walked over to “It’s a Small World” and watched the rest along with the awesome changing light display on the Small World castle. BEST place to watch. Don’t even bother trying to watch over the castle on Main Street. Too many people!
One of the other nights we got to see “Fantasmic” which was also really neat!!
We decided to eat in the park one night and had some way yummy food at Café Orleans.
Jared got his Mickey Mouse hat.
We saw many, many Characters!!!
(I was pretty giddy about seeing Mater. I LOVE Mater!!!)
On our last morning, our little family went to Minnie’s Breakfast in the Park. It was fun to have so much personal attention from the characters. (except Winnie the Pooh who totally snubbed my kids…)
Our kids’ reactions to the characters was really fun to see. Jared would get REALLY excited, and then super shy. Lily loved every second of it, and the older two would debate whether or not they were real or just people in costumes!!
We loved being able to be there for as long as we were and have family with us every day. (And Jason and I pretty much matched every single day. We really didn’t do that on purpose…) We had such a magical time despite our sore backs and blistered feet. We were so happy to be able to spend so much time with Ash & Lu. We were thrilled to have Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Dave come, and so glad to have a fun vacation with our kids! Now all we need is another vacation….to recover from this one of course!
