It’s canning season, and I have been canning like crazy. My absolutely favorite part about this time of year, is making homemade SALSA!! So yummy! I made three batches of it, and if I get enough tomatoes, I will totally make some more! So good! And the BEST part about making salsa is eating it FRESH and WARM! Jared and Lily joined me in having a little fresh salsa snack.
mmmmm! They liked it too!
Our school had a carnival a few weeks ago. I ended up being in charge of the “fingernail painting” booth, and was able to get some of my AWESOME young women to come help and paint fingernails. My kids had a great time and Jason was SUPER awesome to take care of all 4 kids + a friend most of the night! He only got pictures of them in the bounce houses, but they also got spray painted hair, did the donut walk, made cards, painted fingernails, did the sucker pull, Jason and Jared even got little Y’s painted on their faces (in honor of the rival game the next day), and lots more! We had a yummy dinner, and lots of fun, even with the party having to be moved inside due to weather.
A couple weekends ago, Jason and I had a little at-home-after-the-kids-are-in-bed date. Lily, in finding out what was going on, burst into tears! She then started crying about never getting to go on a date. It was preciously cute, and we promised her that soon, we would go on a “family date”. We chose to go last week to Texas Roadhouse. It was a fun little outing for our family. Most of the kids loved eating the peanuts and throwing the shell on the floor! They also loved sitting on the saddle in the waiting area. We had a fun night together as a family!
Last little tidbit is Lily in her other dance outfit! It’s just too cute not too share! ;)
