My sister asked me to watch her kids for them a couple of weekends ago. My 4 kiddos + 3 extra = a weekend of CrAzY fun!!!
My new little charges arrived Friday night just in time for dinner. As I was trying to get it ready, I figured the kids could all just play happily together for a few minutes and everything would be fine. I think I had a momentary lapse in judgment…. Within the first hour, I had a child play in the water in the bathroom and create a flood. I had some kids play the piano and one got a finger stuck in the piano lid. I had a child with a bleeding lip. I had another child leave the water on after going to the bathroom and creating a 2nd flood. There was a lot of screaming, running, crying and laughing going on. It was a crazy hour. I guess I forgot how wild my own kids are, since all but one instance was one of mine!
The whole weekend was not as wild! It calmed down greatly after that.
We had a fun time watching lots and lots of movies!
We loved playing dress-up, even the BOYS!!
We ate popcorn.
We snuggled up in our sleeping bags.
We had a great time playing outside with our bikes.
I had to include these pictures from the weekend. Jared trying out walking in daddy’s shoes! What a silly little boy!
We made individual pizzas! The kids had so much fun making their own!! This is definitely one of our family favorites!
We played with our cousins.
We had baths.
We went to church. (7 kids at church was a little crazy too! I am not sure how my mom did it every week!)
We had such a fun time with these three. Even though it gets crazy, I am so glad my kids have the opportunity to spend such fun time with their cousins!
I took lots and lots of pictures of every activity we did throughout the weekend. Zach is not such a fan of getting his picture taken. During our “Sunday morning” photo shoot, he refused to smile in the picture.
So everyone gave their grumpiest fact in honor of Zach.
Then we did silly faces.
And sad faces.
Thanks again Madsen kids for spending the weekend at our house!!

You are a brave woman!! I'm sure it makes you appreciate your mom so much more for the sacrifices she made when you were all little. But how fun that your kids have so many fun cousins to play with! I'm sure they had a blast!
