Teacher Appreciation

Teacher Appreciation was at the beginning of May, and at our school, they wanted to give all of the teachers an entire hour for lunch.  To do this, they asked parents to come and be in the class for about a half hour and then take the students to lunch.  I volunteered to help in both of my girls classes.  In Michaela’s, another mom was going to be there to help out, but she had a family obligation come up, and so I was on my own.  She prepared everything in advance though, so all I had to do was help the kids make a cute poster for their teacher!

The next day in 3rd grade, I helped Savannah’s class decorate their teachers’ door too.  I had to come up with the decoration myself.  Her class is all a jungle theme, so I rolled with that in the absolutely easiest way I could—jungle paper plates!  The kids all had fun making the decorations!

For our own little gift to the teachers, I turned to Pinterest!!  (of course!)  We got them these cute drink cups and added the printable flag, some drink mixes and a cute note written by the girls!

I absolutely LOVE their cute notes!!  If you can’t read them click on them to blow them up bigger.

This has been a fabulous year, and I know most of it was because of the AWESOME teachers my girls had.  I have really enjoyed helping out so much in both classes and getting to know their teachers!
