It’s been a while since I blogged, and that is mainly due to lots of little things taking up our time, but not BIG events. Here is a little re-cap post to satisfy your curiosity! **once I started blogging this, I realized it was way too much for one post, so I am breaking it up into several! He he! This post is all of our school fun!
*Vista had their school talent show last month. The girls both had grade level try-outs, and did a great job! Savannah was chosen to go on to the school-wide talent show! It was a little bit hard to have only one of my kids chosen, but Michaela was a really good sport about it. She loved getting to watch her older sister in the talent show! My mom brought them both a fun little windmill to congratulate them. I am glad my girls enjoy their talents and are not afraid of sharing them!!
*Our school also had a free skate night that we went to in April. All of the kids had a great time and could have stayed much, much longer, but unfortunately, it got a little wild and distracting for the younger two. It was a fun night though. We will have to make it back sometime when it is less crazy busy!
*The first grade had their Field Trip to Red Butte Gardens. I was one of the room moms. My mom, Jared and Lily also got to come on our fun adventure. We went on Arbor Day, so it was free admission and everyone got their own tree. My kids loved their trees and Lily especially held it with pride! This was my first time (that I can remember) going to Red Butte Gardens, and I have to say, I LOVED it! Well, at least, on a non-free-crazy day! Ha! I was only in charge of 4 little girls, but all they wanted to do was RUN! It was really hard keeping track of everyone, especially since there were a million other schools and people there too! It was a fun field trip though, even though the day was pretty chilly. We went to a park to eat lunch after, and we were all just about frozen by the wind! I finally sent my mom and little kids back to the school. All in all, it was great fun and I’m glad I was able to go!
