My Aunt sent some “bug-themed” party stuff to my mom earlier this summer so she could throw a “Bug Party” for all of the grandkids.
My mom loves a good party and set right to work planning one. When we arrived at the party we were welcomed to “Bug Land”!!
We started off with some buggy stories.
Then all of the kids got to choose and paint a pet bug rock.
Michaela left a little note on the painting paper!
Then grandma had all kinds of fun bug games for the kids to play.
They moved like bugs:
They flew the “flight of the bumblebees”. (musical flowers)
They used a giant fly swatter to swat bugs.
And butterfly nets to catch butterflies.
They gathered around a dirt pile to dig for bugs.
They played 5 little speckled frogs with the kids getting to be the frogs jumping in the pool!
Then they squirted some bugs up on grandma’s wall.
After that the kids had some more fun playing in the water. It was a HOT day!
Finally, the mom’s got to squirt the kids with “spider webs”! (silly string) That was tons of fun and the kids all got a kick out of it too!
We had a super yummy lunch with everything “Bug-themed”!
Grandma also gave each of the kids their own bug plate to take home after eating our scrumptious lunch!
We had so much fun at another on grandma’s awesome parties! My kids talked about this party for weeks after! They loved it so much. Thanks mom for always making everything so much fun!!!
