Christmas Dresses

It’s that time of year again, Christmas Dresses time!  I love finding a fun pattern and the perfect material and making my kids Christmas outfits.  This year, I decided to do things just a little different.  I usually match everyone exactly.  This year, we went for a color scheme instead.  I am kind of a thrift queen, and can’t really say no to free.  A while back, my mom was given a ton of clothes from a neighbor and asked me if I wanted them.  There is some darling material and so I said yes and took a whole bunch of it.  As I was sorting through it, I realized there was a whole bunch of black with white polka-dots and one white with black polka-dots.  I immediately knew what our outfits would be this year!  Here is my pile of black & white:

Here are the 4 I chose:

And HERE is what I did with them!

I have to say, refashioning these skirts/shirts into Christmas skirts and a tie was SO MUCH FUN!  The girls loved that they were each a little different but they still all went together.  Jared was so studly-muffin in his black shirt and his tie was to die for!  Jason loved that I spend nothing to make them, and my favorite part?  I was done with them about 2 weeks ago!!  Hooray!  No last-minute sewing the night before for me this year!!  I may be a little biased, but I think my kids were pretty stinkin’ cute!  (We were running late before church, so these were taken after, and Jared was too tired to get one.  I’ll have to take one of him next week!)
