Progressive Dinner 2010

Last Sunday we held our annual Ferguson Progressive Christmas Dinner.  This is always a favorite tradition for adults and kids!  This year my mom decided we would do “The Polar Express”, so we wore our pajamas and had breakfast food!

#1 Mom & Dad’s house~Breakfast Casserole & Orange Juice

There wasn’t a lot of room once we all got in there, so Jared and Afton ate under the table!

#2 Dennis & Julie’s house ~ German Pancakes (I guess I didn’t get a picture of the food at every house, I was too busy EATING it!!)

The kids loved playing with the toys at their house and Jared loved this microphone.  Justin Bieber better watch out!

Ashley tried to hoard our cereal, but the little kids attacked her.

#4 Cory & Jennie’s house ~ Jello & Blueberry muffins (These weren’t just plain-jane blueberry muffins.  These were gourmet goodness!)

Afton and Josh kept stealing Jared’s food from his tray.  Jared is not trying to eat her though, he is just giving her a kiss!

#5 Amber & Alan’s house ~ Cocoa (They have a huge cocoa machine and had everything you could possibly think of and MORE to top them with!  mmmmm!)

Once we had all had enough to eat drink, Ashley read us Polar Express.

Then the kids all got dressed up for our reenactment of The Nativity.  They were all pretty spent by this time though, so we basically just had a photo shoot.  It was HILARIOUS!  I didn’t get a very good picture of all of them.  Here is my handsome little shepherd Jared.

Here is the best picture I got of the whole gang!

We had a great time visiting everyone’s houses and eating yummy food!  We are already looking forward to next year!!

Your family has such great ideas! A family progressive dinner would be so much less stress! What a great idea to have a polar express/breakfast theme. Very fun!
