Michaela & Lily

We have two little girls who both have December birthdays in the same week.  It makes for a pretty crazy month, but we love it!

Michaela turned 6 on December 6.  She was super excited about her birthday this year.  On the Sunday before her birthday, she told everyone she passed that it was her birthday the next day.  They all wished her a Happy Birthday and then the goof would come and tell me, “Mom, everyone keeps saying Happy Birthday to me!  How do they even know it’s my Birthday?”  When we “woke” her up in the morning to give her gifts, she told us she didn’t know if we were going to come down and that we took FOREVER!  Here she is first thing with “bed-head”.  (I think she’s gonna LOVE these pictures when she’s a teenager!)

She was excited to wear her new outfit and boots to school.  I made her promise that she would not run at recess.  I know I’m lame, but I didn’t want her new clothes ruined.  She kept changing her mind about what she wanted for her treat at school.  She finally settled on chocolate cupcakes.

She got a hair strand braiding thing and the girls had fun playing with it after school.

They also all had fun with her music set Grandma & Grandpa Medico gave her.

I went with “simple” when it came to her cake this year, but she loved it just as much!  In fact, she told me it was the best birthday cake because she could have the tinkerbell to play with later.

We love our Michaela so much!  She is always making us laugh or putting a smile on our face.  She has a great imagination.  She is very friendly and loves to make new friends.  She loves school and learning and is the best at helping mommy dry the dishes!

Lily was our other birthday, and she turned 3 on December 10.  I can’t believe my little Lily is so big already!  We did actually wake her up to give her presents, so she was really mellow the whole time.  When she was done opening everything, she gave me a great big hug and said thank you!  She is such a sweetheart.

We had a fun day together.  She played all morning, and Daddy brought home “special lunch” which she loved.  She got a barbie cake and also loved that she got to keep the barbie!

Lily has always been our sweet baby girl!  She loves her big sisters so much and wants to be just like them!  She also loves being a big sister to Jared and they have so much fun playing together in the mornings.  She is my book lover.  She will bring me a huge stack of books and sit on my lap while I read every single one.  She also has a cute little sassy attitude that I find hysterical!

I love my kids so much!  I really wish they would stop growing so fast, but I love seeing them grow and learn new things!  Happy Birthday girls!

That is fun that they both have birthday's the same week. I think that it's sweet you took the time to recognize them individually. And on a sidenote, Lily looks soooo grown up in her new birthday outfit! What a cute girl she is!

What stinkin' cute outfits on both of them!! I find is HILARIOUS that you told her "not to run!!" hehehe, I wonder if she really didn't, or if she did and just didn't ruin her new clothes!! What darling little NIECES I have!

Happy Birthday Michaela and Lily! They are both adorable. Their cakes are cute too. I always like the simple things I do better than the crazy things when it comes to baking...makes eating it more enjoyable and not so depressing to ruin :). I don't blame you at all for not wanting Michaela's new clothes ruined the first day she got them.
