This year, for the first time, we decided to have a “Couples dinner” with just the adults in our family. We set the date for when everyone would be here, we got babysitters for our kids, and we headed downtown for a night of fun. We went to Tucanos at Gateway for dinner. It was so YUMMY! We had so much fun talking together and being a little silly and not worrying about kids!

After dinner, we hopped on Trax and went to Temple Square to see the lights.
We had a great time looking at all the lights and being silly and a little crazy. It got kind of wild because there were so many people downtown. It was pretty crowded, and then the Tabernacle Choir concert got out and there were tons of people. We may or may not have lost several members of our family a couple times.

Jason & I had a hard time getting a decent picture of us by the lights because my family is insane and kept jumping into our picture. This is the best one, and it still had some weirdo’s arm in it.
It ended up being a pretty late night, but I had a great time and hope we can continue such a fun new tradition!

What a fun idea to go out as adults! I bet that would make looking at lights less stressful. You have such a cool family!
