We had such a wonderful Christmas this year! Our fun started out on Christmas Eve. We found a special gift under our tree that morning. I guess Santa wanted us to have a special new video camera to capture all of our Christmas fun!! The girls were excited and had fun with daddy learning how to record some fun movies.
I love when Christmas lands on a Saturday, then Jason gets to be home with us all day! He helped me with dinner and ran and grabbed some of the ingredients I kind of, maybe, sort of, forgot! Then we sat down to our yummy meal!
After dinner, we went downstairs and re-enacted the Nativity. The girls are starting to have a lot of fun deciding who gets to be what. Jared was not very happy about his costume, so we hurried and took the pictures and then acted it out without his costume. (You can see how mad he was in the first picture, but I managed to get one smile out of him!)
Then we had our little Christmas sing-a-long. Savannah learned “Jingle Bells” and played for us on the piano. We then sang every Christmas song, until the younger two were ready for bed.
Then we hung Santa’s key,
And put out the cookies and milk,
And snuggled down to bed!
We had all the girls sleep together up in Lily’s room, and they were less than pleased, but once everyone was settled down, it was ok. Lily was the only one who had a hard time getting to sleep. It was a bit of a rough night. We had to keep putting her back in bed and trying to keep her quiet so she didn’t wake everyone up. Jared also had a hard time in the middle of the night. I was very tired after the late night and early morning, but what is Christmas, if not a little tiring right?! I was still up early, excited to see the excitement on my kids’ faces!
