We didn’t have a lot of spare time around the holidays this year, but there were a few things we had to make sure we did. One of those is the lights at Temple Square. It’s definitely one of our most favorite things to do during the holidays! We went on a Friday night and it was really crowded because of the Tabernacle Choir concert so we had to park pretty far away. The kids were all really good about the walk and actually loved crossing the street. Each of them had to hold an orange flag! I’m sure we looked nuts, but they absolutely loved it!
I love when our timing is perfect. We walked right up to the nativity as it started. I really loved that all four kids were really into the story. They loved watching what would light up next.
We walked around and saw all of the lights which are always so pretty. Jared pointed to every single one and said “light”.
Once we were thoroughly frozen, we went home and had some yummy hot cocoa. Definitely everyone’s favorite treat!
It was a wonderful night! I love times that we can just step back, slow down, and enjoy doing things with our kids. This was one of those nights! I love my little family and I love this special time of year!
