The day after Valentine’s Day, we decided to take our family on a fun adventure to a GRIZZLIES hockey game!!!
We got there nice and early and got to watch the players warm up.
We also got a few peaks at the “bear”. Jared really loved this guy and spotted him many more times throughout the night.
It was fun to watch as everything began. My kids were so fascinated by everything.
They blow up this giant grizzly bear for the starting players to come through. Lily was sure it was a real bear. When they deflated it, she kept insisting that it just went back to it’s cave!
Jared became daddy’s #1 kid as they watched the action. I love how he is playing with daddy’s hair in this picture!
My girls all really got into the game. I loved sitting by Lily. She didn’t stop asking questions the entire time and I loved it! The girls are giving a thumbs down because the other team scored first.
Later in the night we got them all a little snack. It was “Wild Wednesday” so we could get fries for $2. We got a few to share around. The line was SUPER long and took Jason forever to get through, or I would have made him go back for more fries. Those fries are GOOD!!!!
During our outing, we searched for Grandpa Ferguson who works at the Maverick Center, but couldn’t find him. I finally called him and found out he was working in the VIP area. He came and visited us once, and then we stopped by to see him on our way out.
Jared didn’t want to take a picture because he was busy playing with the elevator…
Because it was a school night, we didn’t stay to the end of the game. We still don’t know who won, although it was tied at the beginning of the third period when we left. It was a fun night out and I hope we get to take our kids to more hockey games in the future!
