March Madness

My mom threw another Fantastic party for the grandkids a few weeks ago.  This time, it was a “March Madness” party!!!  We had lots of yummy food to start:

“Basketball” candy ~ “Basketball” bagel bites

“Basketball” drinks ~ “Basketball”-shaped/colored chips and cheese balls.

We also had some veggies and fruit.  The cantaloupe was in a “basketball” shape as well!!

All of the cute cousins gathered around and we enjoyed a yummy lunch.

Then we headed outside for some basketball fun! 

We started with warm-ups.  My mom randomly put me in charge, so we jogged around the backyard a bunch:

Shuffled down the yard to practice our “guarding”:

and did “Burpies”! 

Then we did some drills that involved passing the ball by throwing:

and passing the ball in a relay going over our heads and under our legs!  This was pretty hysterical to watch!!

Then finally, it was time to shoot some hoops!!

Grandma then had an “Awards Assembly” and all of the cousins received a medal!!  This is the “group shot” with their medals.  Some of the cousins were a little more “distracted” than others!!

You might have thought it was all over at this point, but no way!  Grandma pulled one more trick out of her hat, or actually out of her basketball toy box, and gave all of the kiddos a basketball goodie bag and basketball Frisbee!!

All of the kids had SO. MUCH. FUN!  I love that my mom is so excited about throwing such fun parties for our kids to enjoy!  Thanks momma!!
