The day after our pancake outing, it was free admission at the Zoo. It was a very chilly morning, with a storm rolling in later that day, but we decided to brave the weather and go anyway.
I am so happy that we did. Julie, Afton, Julie’s sister Ann and her daughter Ellie, Amber, Emma, Zach, Kye and Grandma all joined us. It was a fabulous day! Chilly, but we were bundled up and walking around helped us stay warm.
The animals were all so active, and the kids all had a blast watching them!
We loved the elephants. The baby is just so cute!
The tigers and rhinos were fun to watch!
Jared’s favorite were all of the monkeys, especially the “Spider Monkey”. (He’s been really into “Spiderman” lately, and I think he thought that the monkey WAS Spiderman!!)
We also really had fun watching the giraffe’s eat their breakfast, or elevensies, or lunch, or whatever it was!
Then grandma bought all of the kids a ride on the carousel!! The kids were really excited and loved choosing which animal they got to sit on. Jared was scared to death though, and clutched me around my neck the entire time!
I guess I am a mean mommy, because all he really wanted was to ride in the peacock…
We had some more fun,
And saw some more animals before heading home!
I definitely missed having all of my cuties with me, but enjoyed the extra-special attention I could pay to Lily and Jared! It was also cute to see cousins that don’t always end up together, be super cute buddies all through the Zoo!
Thanks everyone for the fun morning!
