Easter 2012

After our extended family brunch, we went on to celebrate the holiday with our little family.

Our first stop was Macey’s to get $0.50 hot got meals and meet the Easter Bunny!  Jared was SO excited to meet the bunny and it was super cute to watch him interact.

Later that night, it was time to dye Easter Eggs!  This is the first year we have done this with our little crew, and we will for sure be doing it again.  They all had so much fun!

They colored on their eggs with crayon first, and then dyed them different colors.

Such pretty eggs!

After egg dyeing, it was time to make our bunny bags.  The bags we got had writing on both sides, which made drawing our cute bunnies kind of tricky, but the kids all had fun coloring anyway.

Jared and Lily both wanted daddy’s help to color their eggs.  What a sweet daddy.

On to Easter morning:

The girls were all up bright and early to see what the Easter Bunny had left them.

Jared chose to sleep in and open his bag all by himself later.

We had yummy Orange and Cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then got ready for church.

We had a wonderful time at church.  The messages of our Savior are always wonderful to hear.  The primary kids sang, which I always love.  I am grateful to my Savior, for the sacrifice He has made and for the Atonement.  This time of year is a great time to reflect on that, but it is something that I see in my life all the time and am truly grateful for it.

After church, we had a nice relaxing time with our family, and then had a yummy Easter dinner!

For Dessert, we had a yummy carrot cake, which tasted fabulous despite how special it looked.  We also were in such a hurry to eat it, that I didn’t take a picture before it was cut into!  he he!

What a wonderful Easter celebration!!  I hope everyone else had a great Easter too!

I know that Easter Bunny personally! (my brother)
I didn't even know he was doing that until too late, and so my kiddos never got to see him.

Are those whisks I see?? I saw that idea on Pinterest a few times. If that is where you saw it, good work implementing something you learned on Pinterest:)

What a fun Easter you had, I love the bunny bags and your cinnamon rolls look amazing!
