Pioneer Day

We started off our Pioneer Day with a yummy breakfast at my parents’ house.  Savannah and Michaela both loved helping cook and get things ready.

It was very yummy!

I had very patriotic pancakes!! (and don’t worry, I filled that empty spot with yummy fruit!)

After breakfast the kids played.  Savannah and Michaela threw around a football with some of the uncles.

Jared and cousin Zach played basketball. 

The kids played a game called “how many kids will fit in the table fort”.

Dad took a nap.

It started to rain, and the kids all played.

Some of the adults got in on the rain action and played Ultimate Frisbee with the kids.

After the rain, some headed home, but we headed to the park for a fun picnic with those who were left.  We had fun playing and visiting some more.

That evening, we enjoyed a BBQ at the Medico’s.  I think I was all pictured out, so I didn’t take any.  We did have a really nice night visiting and playing some more.  It was a great Pioneer Day and we had a fun time celebrating!!
