Our crazy little Michaela turned EIGHT at the beginning of December! I always love birthday mornings! I love waking my kiddos up and taking a picture of them with half-opened, bleary eyes. I love giving them EXACTLY what they wanted, and also surprising them with something they never expected. I also love getting pictures of my cuties excitement while they open their gifts.
Michaela was super excited and happy about everything!
Once most of the excitement of the morning was past, a new kind of crazy started. When I was helping Michaela change her earrings, to her new ones she got for her birthday, I realized that her old earring back had gotten lodged inside the skin of her earlobe! I sent her off to school, and called the pediatrician as soon as I could to get her an emergency appointment.
I already had an orthodontist appointment for Savannah scheduled, and so I called my mom who came and saved me, by taking Savannah so I could take Michaela. Michaela was sent to an ENT from the pediatrician, and he was great and had it out in no time at all.
The sad part is she not only had to go back to school with a great big piece of gauze on her ear, but she also has to let her pierced ears close up and fully heal before trying to get them pierced again. She was such a good sport though. She even let me take a picture so we could remember.
She requested donuts for her school treat, and was so excited to hand them out to all of her friends.
Michaela had some fun visitors and lots of special phone calls. She loved having a day all about her!!
For her cake, she got the “8” that I always do for them the year they turn 8.
She was excited to wear her new clothes the next day! She looks so cute in sequins!!!
Later in the week she and Lily both got a special visit from Grandma & Grandpa Medico, and loved the dolls they were given.
Michaela is such a special girl in our family!! We love her spunky little self!! Happy Birthday Michaela!!!
