Lily is 5

Once we were all done with Michaela’s many birthday celebrations, it was time to move on to Lily who turned 5!!

She was so excited for her birthday and everything she got!  She only asked for the Princess and the Popstar Barbie movie, so I had some fun coming up with the rest of her gifts!  She loved every single thing and has enjoyed playing with it all!

‘Grandma Fergy came by and gave Lily some fancy sparkly clothes and a fun magnet princess doll.  Lily also modeled for me a bit!

When I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday, she said “Only fun things.  Nothing boring like cleaning and chores”  So, since it was her special day, we did just that!  We decided since it was such a cold day, that we wanted to stay indoors, so we headed to Scheels.  I know, a little random, but it was AWESOME!  Lily and Jared loved the fish tank.  They played around those towers of fish forever!

Lily really got into the “picture spots”.  Jared, not so much, unless there was a car—that one he loved!

We also had a little ride on the Ferris Wheel!!!  Lily and Jared really loved that and have been asking when we get to go back and ride it again!!  Since I am deathly afraid of heights, I am not so sure when it will happen again!

All of Lily’s requests all day long began with, “since today is my birthday…”  One of them was “Can I have special lunch?”  So we headed to McDonalds where they got to play and eat and have a great time!

“Since it is my birthday, can I have no nap?” was another request, so she got to stay up and make her princess mirror craft while Jared was sleeping.

We had a yummy dinner of pizza while we watched her new movie.  Then it was time for cake and ice cream.  Let me give a little disclaimer here.  After making Michaela’s birthday cake, and 13 small cakes for her friends (baked one at a time!) and frosting most of them, I was just a little bit cake-d OUT!  I had three small cakes left from the party, so I threw those together and thought—“snowman”.  Then, when I was trying to come up with how to decorate it, I remembered these foam crowns I had….so this is BY FAR my most special cake EVER, but Lily 100% ADORDED and LOVED it!!!  She still tells people about her “Snowman Princess” cake!!

Happy Birthday to my most favorite Lily!!!  I love the sweet, fun little person you are and the joy you bring to our lives.  While I could do without the sneaking and the 2-year-old tantrums, I love every bit of you, and am so happy I get to be your mom!!!

That cake is seriously awesome! You always do such great things. Also that cooking party looks great-I was wishing I could go to a party like that and walk away with all that amazing swag. :)
