May brought some {finally} warmer weather and quite a few fun activities at the Medico household!
First up was Cinco de Mayo. Jared wanted to wear his cute vest I made for him, and his pairing of the vest with a Spiderman shirt, shorts and cowboy boots was just perfect for our holiday!! He sure makes me laugh sometimes with his fashion sense—or lack thereof, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We enjoyed a super yummy Mexican-themed meal! Mmmmm!
I got a super fantastic deal on Strawberries, and we had a great time eating lots of them! Jared and Lily were my helpers one morning while I made a couple batches of freezer jam!
As a reward for all their hard work, they got some yummy strawberry smoothies when we were done!!
We celebrated Mother’s Day, and enjoyed visiting with each of our mothers. I was super happy to spend my day with my greatest treasures, who call me “mom”! This is seriously the best job in the world, and I love getting to spend it with these cuties! We have our up days and our down days (or sometimes weeks!) but I still love every one of them for the joy and love they bring into my life!
When Savannah got her braces off, she also decided to cash in all of her “points” that she earned and get some gift cards. One of them was to Jamba Juice, and one morning she and I made a little detour there so she could pick up a yummy smoothie!
I watched my niece and nephew for a few hours one weekend, and my kids went crazy over cousin Chip! We brought up our baby toys and they all had so much fun gathering around him and "giving" him every single toy! If you look closely in the picture, you can see Chip's wide-eyed expression! I'm not sure he knew how to handle all that attention!
We decided to have the kids plant their own little garden spots this year. So we took a walk down the street to the garden center for them to pick out their flowers. It was a nice day and the perfect day for a walk. Afton came along with us too. My kids loved picking out their pretty flowers!
We came home and planted them in our cute little spot! It was fun watching them get so excited about their own little gardens! Hopefully our flowers will survive the heat this summer!!
I had some fun getting together a fun door for Savannah’s teacher. I helped in Michaela’s teachers’ door too, but someone else planned it. We also got to put together a fun teacher appreciation gift for their teachers.
The girls’ school also had a “Parents and Pastries” morning. We all had so much having donuts and juice and reading together!
We sure had a busy month of May! School is almost out and we are looking forward to a crazy fun summer!!
