Mill Hollow

We sent our cute little Savannah off on her first trip to Mill Hollow this summer!  She was so excited to go and had a cute little group of friends she was going with.  As excited as I was too to let her have such a fun experience, it was really hard to send her off.  Like worse than the first day of school hard!  I pretty much sent her off and bawled for three days until she came home!  I also just felt so lonely which is silly since I still had three kids at home.  I’ve talked to a couple other moms though who know exactly how I felt.

I sent an old camera of mine with her, and it’s fun to see all of the pictures she took.  She said she deleted a bunch that were multiples of the same picture over and over.

She loved going on the hikes, and took quite an awesome “selfie” on the Yellow Lake trail!

She also took pictures all of the fun sights she saw;

And some of the wildlife!

She loved all of the counselors!  She even got to see her Aunt Julie’s sister Natalie aka “Copper” up there in the kitchen.

Her counselor was “Timber”.

She apparently loved all of the signs!!

And she even took a picture of the bunk where she slept!

Such a cute little girl!  We have loved hearing about all of her many adventures!  She has also taught all of the obnoxious camp songs to the rest of my kids so they can all sing them at the top of their lungs when we drive places!

We really missed her a ton!  Jared told me on Thursday night (the night before she was to come home) that he didn’t want to pick up “Santa” (his nickname for her) tomorrow, he wanted her NOW!

She is such a special part of our family and such a wonderful big sister!  We are glad she got to adventure off on her own, but are very, very happy it was only for three days!!

Seeing her pictures totally reminds me of all the pictures we took of "nature" when we went to Mill Hollow. I'm glad she enjoyed the signs:)
