The 24th was a little weird this year. Jason had to work, which isn’t unusual since it’s only a state holiday, but the Fergy clan didn’t end up doing anything either, so it was just me and my kids. We started our day with a fancier breakfast.
Then we decided to head to Seven Peaks for the day! We had so much fun swimming and playing!
We took our picnic lunch and ate there.
That night, when daddy was home, we went to the Medico’s for a hot dog BBQ. Our cousin Torie had a few fireworks and the kids enjoyed watching them be set off.
After getting home, quite a few of our neighbors were doing fireworks, so we sat on our lawn and watched those. It was fun except for the one crazy one that shot off in all directions and set a bush on fire!! We felt pretty lucky it hadn’t hurt any of the kids. It was a nice and mellow 24th, and we enjoyed it!!
