The last day of school! This year just flew by. I can’t believe my girls will be in the 1st and 3rd grades! We ended the year with a day of celebration!
Daddy got up extra early, so he could surprise the kids will yummy donuts for breakfast! They were all so excited and loved the yummy start to their day.
The little kids and I spent the morning at home while Savannah had her fun final hours of school.
Here are the girls on their last day. Michaela’s was actually when she graduated, but then she had to go back the next week for testing, so we took a picture then too.
The girls were excited to see Savannah. We had to get a picture with Savannah’s great teacher this year, Ms. Alonso. She did so many neat things with them and Savannah absolutely LOVED her! We are sad she will not be returning to our school next year.
On the way home, we picked up some yummy food and set up a picnic in the basement. I gave them a new movie for the last day of school, “Gnomeo & Juliet”, and we watched it while we ate.
I also gave them each a little gift. Jared got a fireman hat. He is not a real big hat guy, so I didn’t know if he would like it, but he absolutely loves it! I love my little fireman guy!
The girls each got a little compact with a fold-out brush and mirror inside.
After the movie, the little kids went to sleep and the older two enjoyed some swimming time. It wasn’t incredibly warm, but these two are determined that summer is here and we will act like it!
When daddy got home from work, our fun continued. We took our yummy dinner to the park and ate on the grass.
Then we spent some time playing on our new favorite playground that we discovered last summer when we took the kids’ pictures. They had so much fun playing, even though it was a little cold.
We were there for a very long time. I loved seeing their smiles of pure joy while they played!
We are so excited for this summer! We have many exciting adventures and activities we will be doing together as a family. We are going to cram in lots and lots of fun into this summer!!

I can't wait to see all the fun things you come up with for summer! I wish I got a summer break, that sounds like heaven right about now:)
I found an adorable park about 30 minutes away from my house. If we have time, we should definitely go there. Yeah for summer!
