Last week we were invited to a Tie-Dye party at Aunt Amber’s house. The kids were super excited even though they didn’t all know what Tie-Dyeing was. We brought many many WHITE things and started rubber banding them up. The older girls who could do it themselves LOVED this part. Savannah even tried different methods on the same shirt for a cool effect.
Jared loved to help “sort” and stretch the rubber bands.
Michaela’s method was “get as many rubber bands on one shirt/pillowcase as possible”.
Lily just wanted to play with the chickens!
Once we had them all done up in big white globs…
We put them in our desired color and had a lot of fun stirring.
Then we hung up our creations to dry!
Then we had a great time playing.
Jared and Kye got into the water and even though it was a cold, overcast day, they loved every second of it!
They finally got so cold that they sat cuddled up in towels.
The girls played for a little bit too.
Amber made us some way yummy lunch!
Grandma brought some movies.
And finally at the end of the party, the sun peaked out for a while and we were able to enjoy it!
Thanks Madsen’s for a fun fun party!!!

Who cares about tie-dying when chickens are around?
How fun! I haven't done that since girl scout camp a looooong time ago. What a fun summer activity. I don't know how you guys come up with such fun ideas!
