I keep telling my kids that they are not allowed to grow up. I told Michaela many many times that she has to stay in Kindergarten next year, but she assures me each time that she is, in fact, moving on to 1st grade.
The Kindergarten classes had their program last week, and it was so cute! They sang lots of cute little songs and recited little poems. Michaela was adorable to watch! I especially love their little graduation hats!
After their program, they got to get dressed up in full cap and gown and get their picture taken in front of a poster. (A Lion because they are the Vista Lions)
We were also able to grab Michaela’s very best friend from school this year, Oaklie, and snap a picture. These two have had many play dates this year and have become very close. Oaklie will be moving, but we hope to keep in touch!
Grandma Ferguson came to the graduation and gave Michaela balloons and a workbook to practice all of her new skills she learned in Kindergarten over the summer.

We snuck in and found her awesome Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Sessions. Michaela told me that she is excited for 1st grade, but is sad she won’t have Mrs. Sessions as a teacher anymore. She has absolutely LOVED this year in school!
Congratulations to my favorite Michaela!!! We love you!!
And, ok, I guess you can be a 1st grader now.

Tell Michaela congrats for passing Kindergarten! I love how they let them put on the cap and gown for pics. What a great idea!
"So, which one is your daughter? That one? That one? That one." "Yes, Lily, that one's my daughter."
