A few weeks ago, I woke up SUPER early to meet all of my darling young women at the church. We then spent the next 3 hours walking to the Jordan River Temple!
It was dark, it was early, and sometimes, the CrAzY came out!
We had rest stops along the way with water and granola bars.
We saw some fun stuff along the way, including Free Manure!
Our last turn to the temple! We made it!
We secretly had each of the girls’ families there to meet them. It was really cute as we were walking the final stretch and some of the girls started saying things like “that guy up there looks kind of like my dad….wait! It that my dad?”
A lot of the girls were surprised at themselves for being able to walk the whole thing. Others were saying that it really wasn’t as hard as what they thought it would be.
We then took the girls next door to the church parking lot and talked to them about the object of what we had just done and then fed them a yummy meal. (also a surprise!)
It was such a wonderful morning spent in fabulous company! I am so glad we had this activity! It was really meaningful to the girls and for us as leaders.
Here are all of our cute girls with their families. (oh, and some cute leaders too!)

Oh my heck, you guys are troopers! That's a really great activity though, I'm sure it made them really appreciate the temple and the sacrifices that some people have to make to get to the temple. I'm sure you were all beat, I hope you got to hitch a ride home:)
So, so great! Loved this post and loved the walk!
