Millcreek Canyon

Over Father's Day weekend, Jason and his best friend Scott wanted to take their families up Millcreek Canyon.

We roasted hot dogs over the firepit.  Jared was really in love with this!  He’s a camper at heart I guess.  He listened to us and was really careful around the fire, but loved to be right by it cookin’ up his own food!  (With only a LITTLE help from daddy!)

The girls are all getting big enough to try their hands at cooking their hot dogs too.  Lily’s, unfortunately, was a slippery little thing and fell off into the fire!

The older two did a great job, and were great helpers for some of the other younger ones.

After eating some yummy roasted dogs and chips, the kids went “wading” in the water.  It was only a few inches deep in this little shallow area, and in the deeper area, only about a foot, so all of the kids had a great time!  From what they told me, it was super duper COLD! 

After everyone’s feet were nice and frozen, they hopped out and we made some S’mores!!  Mmmmmmm!

Right as we started packing up to go, the people next to us warned us about a baby rattlesnake they just spotted!  Yikes!  We were happy to be on our way out at that point.  We really had a great time!  The kids all had fun playing with each other and Jason enjoyed getting out with his friend!  A great kick-off to our Father’s Day Weekend!!
