Wow! It’s hard to believe it’s only been just over two weeks of Summer Vacation! We have been so crazy busy doing all kinds of super fun things!!
We made a “Summer Bucket List” and have enjoyed doing some of the fun things we wrote on our list. After we made our list, we checked off our first item: Eat a Giant Cookie!!
The girls were all in swim lessons at Taylorsville Pool. Their teachers were really fun and did a great job! Lily had a fun little class of all girls, and Savannah & Michaela were the only two in their class! All three had a great time! I worried slightly about how Jared would take NOT being in the water, but he was great to sit right by me and watch his sisters. Such a good little guy!
I wanted the kids to have a sandbox, and had some grand ideas, but then Jason and his friend Scott came up with a fabulous solution using materials that were already in our yard=LOGS! We all love how it turned out, and the kids play in there ALL the time!!
Jason also decided he wanted to start giving the older two girls Martial Arts lessons. The younger two usually like to warm-up, and then their attention is gone, but Savannah and Michaela have been loving their lessons! It’s so fun for them to have something special to do with daddy!!
I bought a Groupon to a fun place called Jump Around Utah, and on a too-cold-to-play-outside day, we went and checked it out. The kids all had a blast jumping and running for several hours! They have asked several times to go back, so maybe we will make it there again this summer!
Our last exciting adventure was to our local library’s “Pirate Palooza”! The kids all got to pick a fun pirate prize, play some pirate games, make a “hook” (cup with tin-foil-wrapped pipe cleaner) and play up on a REAL pirate ship!! It was AWESOME! Jared really got into the pirate thing, and tells us all the time now, “I pirate!”
So we have definitely had a crazy start to our summer! We don’t plan on slowing down either!! It’s gonna be a GREAT summer!!!
